Happy New Year! December was quite a month for my new business. I made about 50 clay pieces this month. Most of them were made before Christmas. I am excited about the New Year and all there is in store for The Brushstokescafe! This week I am conituing with some new clay creations and getting back to painting. Hope to hear from you soon.

The craft show at CUA Tigers Cheer & Dance last saturday was a huge sucess. I sold about 18 clay pieces. Quite a few of them were special request for things I have never done. I am up for the challenge! I have already completed 3 of the orders and plan to get quite a few done this weekend. I also have some plans for canvas paintings.

Tonight was the Fine Arts Festival at my school. My visual art students had their work on display, the piano and strings students shared their musical talent as well. I was so proud of everyone. It was a great time to share the arts and have fellowship with parents and students. Thank you to all who participated.

"Sunset in Venice" One of my favorites by Claude Monet. I love the black silhouette of the parliment building against all that orange. His quick light filled brushstrokes add life to all of his work.

 Danielle said: I use a combination of models & photos for my nudes. This is a from a digital photo on the computer screen. If needed I will start from the model and finish in the studio from a photo. Thanks for the interest Henry. - Danielle
